PSIC Academy

Public Security Innovation Center (PSIC) has the intent set up an academy in South Africa, a multidisciplinary venue specialized in Public Safety and relevant subjects.

In the present day context, there is an increasing demand for specialized security workers, security consultants, project managers, maritime security operators and risk managers. Evaluating the economic growth, this tendency will not only sustain but become more significant amongst the upcoming decades. This means a large opportunities for job creation while simultaneously addressing security issues in the country.

The PSIC Academy initiative will play an important part in empowering and educating the South African youth to become active in the security job sector and to foster high quality of professional output while actively taking part in the fight against the crime and corruption.

We envision South Africa to become the hub of security skills and technology for SADC and the rest of Africa as a result of this plan. Thousands of jobs will be created and the South African youth will be equipped with skills to have a better life. With an emphasis on training, educating and empowering previously disadvantaged people, it is in accordance with government policies on Black Economic Empowerment (BEE).

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 The South African Government has adopted a progressive, farsighted and sustainable approach towards the economic empowerment of formerly disadvantaged people, the development of Small and Medium sized Enterprises (SMEs’), regional leadership, the enhancement of security and education.

Education and the development of skills is essential to achieve the national objectives. Economic progress of the country, without advancement of the previously disadvantaged persons, is not a real progress. Growth of the National Income without proportional participations of all citizens does not lead to real development. Human dignity is served by providing the opportunity to gain knowledge, to develop skills, to get meaningful jobs and to be able to feel secure. PSIC ACADEMY wishes to contribute to this process.

 To Reach its objectives PSIC Academy aspires to proceed as follows:

 -PSIC Academy will contribute to the educational and economical development of South Africa by creating jobs, technologically innovative platform for the government and capacity to produce highly skilled               professionals trained in Public Security and Safety.

-Furthermore PSIC Academy commits itself to the principles of Black Economic Empowerment and is eager to train previously disadvantaged people in order to enable them to become valuable employees, entrepreneurs or business managers and to coach them into appropriate job placements.

-Both the public and private sectors of South Africa are considered the beneficiaries of this project through an opportunity in job creation, contribution to the national education and provision of cost efficient technologically innovative evaluation centre aimed to increase national Public Security.
