PSIC Academy | Facilities
-PSIC Simulation and Theory Center:
This venue in the complex is a theoretical lecture room, a demo centre. PSIC Academy is convinced that a state-of-the art general training and demonstration centre, comparable to the one of PSIC Academy in the Hague, the Netherlands has a tremendous added value for the operations. This location will be used for the theoretical aspects of the training programs and for virtual reality (simulation) sessions and lectures given to the trainees.

The facility will comprise of state-of-the-art media and tools for best simulations possible and spacious rooms designed to host multiple trainees simultaneously.
Demonstration Centre cannot be mistaken for a casual lecture room. The trainees have access to computers and simulation platforms to develop their skills not only in theory but also in practice. Mentors responsible for lecturing attendees are highly skilled and their background is relevant to the offered themes.
-Firefighting and Rescue Training Complex:
The objective of this facility is to provide a multidisciplinary training centre for fire fighters, first responders and emergency units, where real life calamities will be reconstructed.
Complex’s design bases on extensive worldwide experience of Falck (www.falck.nl) and exists of mock up buildings and installations. Such a facility features real gas or wood fires that ensure first-hand experience in fire fighting. Trainees will be able to work with realistic training objects and with all extinguishing agents designed for fire fighting and blasts management.

The emphasis will be on safety for the rescue workers and optimal effectiveness for victims and assets.
Beside the mock up houses there will be oil and gas installations, a prop train and several cars, to allow the trainees to handle difficult and confined spaces and a variety of circumstances. All those objects can be set on fire artificially
The training programs range from entry level to strategic and management level and will provide skilled and certified rescue workers.
-Safety and Rescue Training Complex:

- Gas fuelled fire simulation with temperature control
- Indoor industrial training objects
- Industrial and petrochemical mock up
- Road traffic accident scenarios and materials
- Multi-storey buildings
- Train carriage
- Pool with vehicle cable
-Forensics Laboratory:
The PSIC Academy Crime Scene Investigation (CSI) Lab is a facility with mock up crime scenes combined with an infrastructure to simulate virtual reality crime scenes. In the CSI Lab crime scenes are reconstructed, presenting a three dimensional copy of a crime scene to help police officers, the courts, judges and lawyers to gain insight into the situation in which a crime took place.

The Lab will be equipped to
teach basic crime scene management to trainees previously unskilled
in forensics to detect and acquire information about a crime. The
trainees will be effective in making use of all the collected
evidence to be able to uphold a juridical case in court. Virtual
environment including serious gaming and simulation technology will
be created.
-Logistics Security Centre:
Economic and social developments provide for a significant change in the transport and logistics sector. The enormous intensification of products 'in transit' takes what was once safely protected behind doors and gates out on the road. From commercial products to highly classified documents.
Logistics providers often choose to organize security breaches as operational incidents. And with ever increasing regulatory pressures and staggering crime rates providers of logistical service are struggling to respond effectively to the increased demands to secure cargo in transit and to keep up with technical innovations. Upgrading security from incident management to a strategic management issue is a daunting task.
The Logistics Integrity Centre aims at providing an environment for security professionals to:
- gather in-depth knowledge and expertise on trends and developments in security;
- re-engineer the role and function of security in their organization;
- engage with their customers in a logistics security simulations;
- get a look & feel of state of the art technology;

-Cyber Security Centre:
The Cyber Security Centre is a facility for cyber risks and information technology security. Cyber lab is to be established by Fox-IT, company with over 12 years of prime IT security expertise and divisions on two continents worldwide.
FOX – IT delivers top quality advanced cyber forensics labs equipped with unique ISO certified tools. Company is specialized in delivering cyber security agents and expertise for both unskilled and professional individuals.
Cyber Security Centre comprises of forensic software and hardware tools, computers, office documents and software templates. Moreover, data storage devices and network servers are considered to be pioneering in the IT security market what offers to trainees first-hand experience with advanced and unique technologies.
Aside of security, tools developed by Fox-IT contribute to training in information flow, workflow, procedures and forms managements and research and development.

-Cyber Security Centre:
The Maritime facility in
PSIC Academy will contain advanced equipment enabling simulations of
real-life maritime scenarios. Trainees will learn about operation,
utilization, management and appliance of ships and naval units. To
maximize the effectiveness of the maritime simulation training
courses, the simulation centre will have different types of
simulators fitting with the different needs of the courses. The
centre will operate under international maritime security standards
and deliver certified, skilled professionals.

Instructor Station
|
The Instructor Station
is a mandatory element of the DNV Class A and B compliant
simulators. Under the STCW guidelines, the instructor must
be located in a separate room and be able to visually follow
the proceedings of an exercise. Our standard
Instructor Station includes PC monitors that duplicate the
three outside view screens of the student. The Instructor
Station will include duplicates of the student’s navigation
screens as well as the instructor’s control panels. This
way, the instructor can follow the trainees decisions and
actions in detail. |
Desktop
Simulators
In addition to the bridge
simulators, using the Desktop Console in a classroom configuration
is a very cost effective method to actively train larger groups of
students, reduce the workload of the instructor and
better prepare student before
they enter the bridge simulator.
The classroom model
configuration consists of a multiple trainee stations, each with a
PC, Desktop Console and Nautis software. Optional, in a classroom
configuration, an Instructor Station can be added to ensure the
instructor can control exercises in real.

For the maritime centre PSIC
has developed set of training procedures and courses. Overview of
those is presented in the following section.
VIP Protection training facility will
focus on providing the best possible close combat training for
future security professionals.
The centre comprises of both indoor and
outdoor infrastructure and interior, perfect for practical training
in a multitude of scenarios.

The combat training facility will focus on prevention and protection tactical training led by experienced professionals with relevant background and expertise.
With these modules. PSIC provides threat
mitigation solutions for security guards, law enforcement agents and
government officials. The courses are designed and developed to
provide new skills and tactics as well as to complement and to be
integrated with existing skills.
